Wassu Stone Circles Quarry Site
Wassu Stone Circles Quarry Site is part of the Tentative list of Gambia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List. It is a proposed extension of Stone Circles of Senegambia WHS.
Wassu Stone Circles Quarry is located on a laterite ridge about two kilometres east of the town of Wassu and the Wassu stone circles site. The quarries have been identified as the source of the most stones used for the Wassu stone circles.
